More than 20 people have been killed in the Delhi bomb blasts. A chance of anything like this happening anyday anywhere can’t be completely avoided. It has now become a part of our lives. I dont think the police and the Intelligence have been idling. Many would brand it a failure on their part to [...]

Though I have two pieces of paper using which I can claim to be a Master in Computer Science, I experienced real happiness today when I had set up (actually repaired) our office LAN. Just to make things clear, we have only 4 PCs – 3 client PCs and 1 server which is connected to [...]

While on my way back to Udaipur for the Independence weekend, I got a chance to meet Mr. Geet Sethi for a couple of minutes at the dining hall of a hotel in Ahmedabad. Nothing much, just that I am delighted I have been an admirer and have always wondered if Olympics had [...]

This is one place I don’t care about how much to eat, what to eat, which table to sit, how long will I have to wait to get something to eat. I just eat, eat and eat.
Shuruaat to chaach se hoti hai
Uske baad aati roti hai
Baingan ka wo bharta, jispe mera dil aaj bhi hai [...]

people of the land are in terrible pain
O rain, come again!
You like playing games, favorite is hide and seek
it breaks our hopes, makes India’s balance sheet weak
most of us love you in your pleasant form
but no drops this time has been the norm
our friends in vidharbha cherish that each drop
without which they cant grow a [...]

Good Morning Sweetheart:*
I woke up in the morning to the music of the Masjid. Though to me it was less of a music and more of noise. I came out of my sleeping being to a more aware Sudhanshoo. Having slept for more than eight hours I was completely dehydrated and felt the need to [...]

This is not about any Indian version of the divorce-themed Hollywood blockbuster Kramer versus Kramer. But a situation I am facing with my wedding. While one Pundit (affiliated to the in-laws) argues that a “certain” ritual needs to be observed between 5:30 PM and 9 PM, the other Pundit (affiliated to us) refutes the claim. [...]

I am going to Matheran, on foot from Neral, this Saturday. There are a few others too. We want to make sure this is just the beginning of our Monsoon-08 trekking season, hence the easy one (hopefully) first. Anyone interested?

It rained today. One could experience the smell of earth due to fresh rains. And guess what, I bought an umbrella today morning:) At Rs 100 I am assuming this one to be a reasonable buy and the prices might shoot up by 20-25% now. If so, what timing man!!

This Sunday I got a chance to play Squash. I played almost after a year, all thanks to Gaurav. The club, where I played, allows for 20 minutes of play only and more after that only if there is no one in waiting. Which of course does not happen in India! Anyways, I felt tremendously [...]
